The river Upyte flows in Panevezys county, Panevezys district, the river Nevezis left tributary.

Length of the river 38 km, the basin area 239 km ². The source 8 km southeast from Ramygala town. Flows through Ramygala town to northwest. At the river Veseta mouth turns to southwest. Flows into the river Nevezis 101 km from its mouth 3 km northeast from Krekenava town. Average gradient 97 cm/km. Average rated discharge at the mouth 1.31 m³/s.
